The KSF-2E is the world’s leading CNC-Special Milling Machine for the fully automated manufacture and complete processing of high-quality  cross joints and grilles in the series production of glazing bars windows and doors.

With up to eight aggregates, the machine produces cross joints from wood, aluminum, MDF or PVC bars in excellent quality and processes all components of a glazing bar grille perfectly.

Automation

Flexible expansion levels allow for a perfect automation upgrade to fully automatic operation. This can be done with program-controlled workpiece feeds (for example horizontal infeed conveyors) and workpiece outfeed devices (for example outfeed tables or belts) as well as special custom solutions.

Security & occupational safety

All processes are also optimally designed for safety and meet the current standards (e.g. hood locking, emergency shutdown, standstill monitoring, etc.) We can also supply the area protection fencing.

Highlights

Perfect joint

The V-cuts for the cross joints are performed by the top and bottom cutter heads, the 90° cuts by the back and front cutter heads. All cuts are done in one clamping. This creates the perfect joint and quality results.

Automatic height adjustment

The milling unit can adjust automatically to the varying widths of your profiles.

Absolutely tear-free coping

Coping of the profiled bars is done by means of two high-speed counterrotating spindles.

The result is a perfect, absolutely tear-free coping profile.

Vertical & horizontal saw cut

The integrated saw unit can also cut off frame profiles and glazing beads. Depending on the  application required, the cutting angle is adjustable horizontally and / or vertically.

Drilling of fastening holes for glazing beads

The additional drilling unit can drill the holes for fastening the glazing beads to the grille frame.

The KSF-2E is also available in a special edition, with two separate cross joint milling stations, a result of our continuous strive for further development.

Milling unit for flat dowel joints

The KSF-2E can also be supplied with a milling unit, specially designed for flat dowel joints.

Milling for connectors

For the connection of glazing bars to the frame: KSF-2E with an additional milling unit for milling the profile ends for connection pieces.

Customized machine for historic cross joints

A specially designed version of the KSF-2E is suited for producing „historic“ cross joints.

The  KSF-2E can be fitted with a drilling- and milling unit for milling dowel holes.

First choice also for aluminium

In addition to wood, MDF or PVC the machine can also produce perfect cross joints from  aluminum profiles.

Automation & control

Automation

The machine can be upgraded to fully automatic operation with an infeed conveyor.

The design of the conveyor belts is adapted to the customer’s profiles.

The magazine has an integrated adjustment option which makes it possible to use the belts for a variety of profiles.

Accurate positioning

A sliding carriage (NC-Stop) pushes the workpiece exactly to the programmed position.

The workpiece length detection determines the length of the infeeding workpiece to a tenth. The machine control then carries out all the necessary calculations with optionally available software modules in order to achieve optimal utilization of the bars and a perfect production process.

Optional software modules are for example:

  • “Production optimization”
  • “Fill piece”
  • “Cyclic production”

User friendly machine control

Labelling & engraving

The workpieces can be marked directly, in the same pass, with a laser or inkjet printer - or with difficult to print materials - also with an engraving unit.

As an inexpensive alternative, we also offer a label printer.

All variants are compatible with the machine software and tailored to your specification and requirements.
